SIDE Mission

"To inspire and empower the next generation of leaders in the South Island dairy industry."

SIDE is a charitable organisation led by a Governance Group of Trustees. 

The conference is run each year alternating between Southland, Otago and Canterbury generally. Each year an event committee is formed and a Chairperson is nominated from the Governance Group of Trustees.

SIDE is a two-day conference for farmers led by farmers.

The number of dairy farm owners, share milkers, contract milkers, herd managers and farm staff has increased rapidly in the South Island; these farmers and their needs are the key drivers of SIDE.
